About TRT Treatment Online

Testosterone affects energy, mood, sex drive, muscle mass, bone strength, and red blood cell production. When levels drop below the normal range for your age, men often notice fatigue, low libido, reduced muscle mass, increased body fat, brain fog, and low mood, sometimes together and sometimes just one or two at a time.

Diagnosis starts with your symptoms plus two morning total testosterone lab draws, then adds free testosterone, SHBG, LH, FSH, estradiol, PSA (age 40 and up), and hematocrit to build a full picture. If you already have recent labs, TRT BYOL lets you bring them instead of repeating the panel; if you need labs done, choose a bundle with lab work included. This is also where two common patient types show up: men whose main complaints are fatigue, brain fog, and low mood (an energy and drive picture), and men who have hit a strength plateau, slower recovery, or gradual body fat gain despite consistent training (a muscle and recovery picture). Testosterone therapy can help both, but it is not a bodybuilding drug. It typically produces a modest change in lean mass over 3 to 6 months, not a dramatic transformation.

Standard testosterone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. It is not recommended for men with prostate or male breast cancer, an elevated PSA that has not been evaluated, hematocrit above the normal range, untreated severe sleep apnea, uncontrolled heart failure, a recent heart attack or stroke, or anyone under 18. It is also not appropriate for men who want to conceive within the next 12 months unless they are on a fertility-preserving protocol, because standard testosterone can shut down the body's own sperm production.

About our TRT Program

Every TRT plan follows the same path: a short intake survey, lab work (or your own recent labs with BYOL), a Good Faith Exam with a licensed medical provider, a prescription when appropriate, and fulfillment through a compounding pharmacy. Ongoing care includes monitoring of testosterone, hematocrit, PSA, and estradiol at 3 months, 6 months, and annually.

Some bundles add adjunct medications, explained here in plain terms. Anastrozole keeps estradiol from rising too high while you are on testosterone. HCG supports testicular size and helps preserve fertility during standard testosterone therapy. Enclomiphene and Clomid work differently: instead of replacing testosterone, they raise your own natural production. Standard testosterone lowers LH and FSH and can reduce sperm production to near zero, which is why men who want to conceive within the next 12 months should choose TRT Oral Fertility or add HCG rather than starting standard testosterone alone.

If you are already on TRT with another provider, our team reviews your current regimen and recent lab work so your care can continue without a gap.

Risks, Side Effects, and What to Expect

Testosterone therapy carries real risks alongside its benefits. The most common is a rise in red blood cell count, which is why hematocrit is checked regularly. Other possible effects include acne, fluid retention, testicular shrinkage and reduced fertility, worsened sleep apnea, breast tenderness if estradiol rises, and injection-site reactions.

A large 2023 trial did not show an increased risk of major heart events in men with low testosterone treated with testosterone.

Low desire and weaker morning erections are common reasons men start TRT, and treatment can be combined with ED medication for a fuller response. There is no FDA-approved testosterone product made for women. When a postmenopausal patient reports low desire, our providers may consider carefully dosed, off-label testosterone as part of the Ultimate Female bundle, decided case by case through the TRT Universal exam.

Compounded medications used in these treatment plans are not FDA-approved. Individual results vary. Most patients notice changes in libido and mood first, within weeks, followed by improvements in erections and energy over the following weeks to months, with strength and body composition changes typically taking several months. Full effect commonly takes six months or more.
